5.4. Bet Types
5.4.1. Single Bet
A wager placed on a single outcome of an Event. If the prediction is correct, the payout is calculated as:
Stake * Odds = Winnings
5.4.2. Combo Bet (also referred to as an "Accumulator" or "Parlay")
A wager combining two or more selections from different Events. All selections within the Combo Bet must be successful for the Combo Bet to be settled as a win. If any single selection loses, the entire Combo Bet is considered lost. The payout is calculated as:
Stake * Accumulated Odds = Winnings
5.4.3. System Bet
A set of Combo Bets generated from a fixed selection of outcomes. It is characterized by a consistent Stake amount for each combination and a predefined number of outcomes per combination. The User must specify the total number of outcomes and the system variant to be used (e.g., 3/5, 4/6). Each combination within the System Bet is settled independently, and the total payout is the aggregate of all winning combinations.
Winnings = Sum of winnings from all successful combinations
5.4.4. Trixie
A combination of four Bets derived from a selection of three Events, consisting of three Doubles and one Treble. For the avoidance of doubt, a "Double" refers to a Combo consisting of two Events/Markets, and a "Treble" refers to a Combo consisting of three Events/Markets..
Winnings = Stake * Total Odds of Trixie
5.4.5. Patent
A combination of seven bets from a selection of three Events: three Singles, three Doubles, and one Treble. At least one correct selection results in a payout.
Winnings = Stake * Total Odds of Patent
5.4.6. Yankee
A combination of eleven bets from a selection of four Events: six Doubles, four Trebles, and one Fourfold. A "Fourfold" refers to a Combo consisting of four Events/Markets. For the avoidance of doubt in this clause and in these Betting rules a fourfold means a Combo which consists of 4 (four) Events/markets.
Winnings = Stake * Total Odds of Yankee
5.4.7. Canadian (Super Yankee)
A combination of twenty-six bets derived from five Events: ten Doubles, ten Trebles, five Fourfolds, and one Fivefold. For the avoidance of doubt in this clause and these Betting rules fivefold means a Combo which consists of 5 (five) Events/markets.
Winnings = Stake * Total Odds of Canadian
5.4.8. Heinz
A combination of fifty-seven bets based on six Events: fifteen Doubles, twenty Trebles, fifteen Fourfolds, six Fivefolds, and one Sixfold. For the avoidance of doubt in this clause and these Betting rules sixfold means a Combo which consists of 6 (six) Events/markets.

5.4.9. Super Heinz
A combination of 120 bets from seven Events: twenty-one Doubles, thirty-five Trebles, thirty-five Fourfolds, twenty-one Fivefolds, seven Sixfolds, and one Sevenfold. For the avoidance of doubt in this clause and these Betting rules sevenfold means a Combo which consists of 7 (seven) Events/markets.
Winnings = Stake * Total Odds of Super Heinz
5.4.10. Goliath
A combination of bets from eight (8) Events: twenty-eight Doubles, fifty-six Trebles, seventy Fourfolds, fifty-six Fivefolds, twenty-eight Sixfolds, eight Sevenfolds, and one Eightfold. At least two correct selections are required for a payout. For the avoidance of doubt in this clause and these Betting rules eightfold means a Combo which consists of 8 (eight) Events/markets.
Winnings = Stake * Total Odds of Goliath
5.4.11. If Odds are displayed with more than two decimal places, final payouts will be rounded to the second decimal place.
5.4.12. Cash Out
Cash Out is an individual offer that may be offered to users through the sportsbook platform. It allows modification of certain key conditions of an active bet (such as odds or settlement time) in order to settle the bet before the related event has concluded. By accepting a Cash Out offer, the user agrees to the revised terms, thereby replacing the original bet with a new one based on the updated conditions. Once accepted, the original bet is cancelled, and the agreed Cash Out amount is paid. Cash Out may be available on both pre-match and live bets. WhalePlay retains full discretion to decide whether to make Cash Out available for a given bet, to adjust the Cash Out value over time, or to withdraw the option entirely, without obligation to provide a reason. Users may choose to accept or reject a Cash Out offer at their own discretion.
5.4.13. Bet Builder
Bet Builder allows you to create a single Bet that combines multiple selections from the same Event, such as match result (1X2), total goals, team stats, player props, and other markets marked with the Bet Builder icon.
To win a Bet Builder, all selections within the Bet must be correct. If even one selection loses, the entire Bet Builder is considered lost.
Stake * Total Combined Odds = Winnings
Bet Builder is available for selected sports and Events, where indicated by a Bet Builder tag. You may also include Bet Builder Bets in a Combo or System Bet, either with other Bet Builder Bets or mixed with standard selections.
5.4.13.1. Special Terms of Bet Builder:
Bet Builder is not offered on all Events, Markets, or sports. Availability depends on various factors and is determined at our sole discretion.
We may remove Bet Builder for specific Events or Markets at any time without prior notice, for example, due to technical issues, betting integrity concerns, or regulatory compliance.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or remove the Bet Builder feature (in whole or in part) at any time without explanation.
If a Bet Builder or any selection within it is settled incorrectly, we reserve the right to correct the settlement in line with our general rules on errors.
If one or more selections in a Bet Builder are voided, the remaining valid selections will still stand. The Bet will be recalculated based on the remaining outcomes. Standard rules on void Bets apply.
5.4.14. Early Payout
Early Payout is a feature that allows your Bet to be settled as a winner before the Event is completed, once a specific condition has been met. If the Early Payout condition is triggered, the Bet is settled as a win, regardless of the final outcome of the Event.
Markets and Events eligible for Early Payout are marked with a special "Early Payout" tag. The specific condition for Early Payout (e.g., team going 2 goals ahead) can be viewed by clicking the tooltip next to the tag, either on the Event page or in the My Bets section.
Early Payout can also be used as part of Combo or System Bets, and may include a mix of Early Payout and regular selections. It is also available for some Bets placed via Bet Builder, where indicated.
5.4.14.1. Special Terms for Early Payout:
Early Payout is only offered for selected Events, Markets, or Bet types. Availability is determined solely at our discretion and may vary by Event or sport.
The feature may be removed at any time without prior notice, for example, due to technical issues, integrity concerns, or legal requirements.
In Combo or System Bets, only those selections where the Early Payout condition has been triggered will be settled early. The rest of the Bet will remain active until the final result.
Early Payout may be available for Markets included in a Bet Builder Bet, depending on the Event and Market type.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or remove the Early Payout feature (or any part of it) at any time without explanation.
If a Bet is settled early in error, due to technical or human mistake, we reserve the right to correct the outcome, as per our general rules on settlement errors.
Once a Bet has been settled via Early Payout, the result is final and will not be reversed, even if the condition is later invalidated or the Event result changes.
We reserve the right to reject or void Bets involving Early Payout, in line with our general rules on Bet acceptance and voiding. If a Bet is voided, standard void Bet rules apply.
6. Market Types
Below is a description of commonly offered betting markets. Availability may vary by sport, competition, or event.
6.1. Match (1X2)
A bet on the outcome of a match. Options:
1 - Home team (or team listed on the left)
X - Draw
2 - Away team (or team listed on the right)
The bet may apply to full time or a specified portion of the event (e.g., first half), depending on the offer.
6.2. Correct Score
A bet on the exact score at the end of the relevant timeframe (e.g., full match or first half).
6.3. Over/Under (Totals)
A bet on whether the total number of a specific occurrence (e.g., goals, points, corners) will be over or under a given line. If the result is exactly equal to the listed line (e.g., 128.0 points and the match ends 6 -64), the bet will be voided.
6.4. Odd/Even
A bet on whether a defined statistic (e.g., goals, points) will result in an odd or even number.
Odd numbers shall be: 1, 3, 5, etc.
Even numbers shall be: 0, 2, 4, etc.
6.5. Head-to-Head / Triple-Head
A bet comparing two or three participants in a match or competition, either real or virtually defined. The participant with the best performance wins.
6.6. Half Time / Full Time
A bet on the result at both half-time and full-time. For example, if the score is -0 at half-time and ends -1, the winning outcome is 1/X. The bet is void if the match is not played in two halves as expected.
6.7. Period Betting
A bet on the outcome of a specific period within an event (e.g., third quarter in basketball).
6.8. Draw No Bet
Allows the User to place a bet on either the Home or Away team to win the match, as defined under clause 6.1 ("Match - 1X2"). The Draw outcome is excluded from this market. If the match ends in a draw (i.e., no winner is determined in regular time), the bet is void and the stake is refunded. Draw No Bet may be offered only for specific events and is subject to availability.
6.9. Handicap
The Handicap market allows the User to place a bet on whether the selected team or participant will win once a specified handicap is applied to the score of the match, period, or total. The listed handicap value is either added to or subtracted from the actual result to determine the outcome of the bet. If, after applying the handicap, the result is exactly equal to the handicap line, the bet is void and the stake is refunded.
Example: A bet on a team with a handicap of -3.0 goals will be void if the team wins the match by exactly 3 goals (e.g. -0, -1, -2, etc.).
6.10. Asian Handicap
The Asian Handicap market allows the User to place a bet where the handicap is split into two parts, resulting in two separate bets on fractional lines (e.g., -1.5 and -2.0).
For example, a bet on the Home team with an Asian Handicap of -1.75 divides the stake equally between two handicaps: -1.5 and -2.0.
- If the Home team wins by 3 goals or more, both parts of the bet win and the full stake is paid out at the listed odds.
- If the Home team wins by exactly 2 goals, the -1.5 part is a win and the -2.0 part is a push (void), meaning half the stake is paid out and the other half is refunded.
- If the Home team wins by 1 goal, draws, or loses, both parts of the bet lose.
Likewise, a bet on the Away team with an Asian Handicap of +1.75 splits the stake between +1.5 and +2.0, and is settled based on the adjusted result of the match.
6.11. Double Chance
Allows the User to place a bet on two possible outcomes of an Event simultaneously. This increases the likelihood of winning by covering more than one result. The available options are: 1X, 12 and X2 with "1". "X" and "2" as defined under clause 6.1 ("Match - 1X2").
6.12. Outright / Place
Outright or Place markets allow the User to bet on a participant's overall performance in an Event or competition. The User selects a participant from a list of alternatives and places a stake on the prediction that:
- The participant will win the Event (Outright), or
- The participant will finish in a specified position within the final classification (Place), as defined in the offer.
6.13. Quarter / Half / Period X
Bets on Quarter / Half / Period X refer exclusively to the result or score achieved during the specific timeframe indicated in the offer. These bets do not take into account any points, goals, or events from other timeframes of the Event or match.
If the Event is played in a different format than the one stated in the betting offer, the scoreboard, or the standard rules of the relevant sport as defined by its governing body, the bet will be void.
6.14. Result at End of Quarter / Half / Period X
Bets on Result at End of Quarter / Half / Period X refer to the score or result at the conclusion of the specified timeframe, including all points, goals, or events accumulated during any prior portions of the Event or match.
If the Event is played in a format different from what is stated in the betting offer, the scoreboard, or the official rules of the sport as set by its governing body, the bet will be void.
6.15. Race to X Points / Race to X Goals and Similar Offers
Bets on Race to X Points / Race to X Goals (and similar markets) refer to the team or participant that first reaches the specified number of points, goals, or other listed occurrences. If the offer includes a specific timeframe or period restriction, only points/goals/events occurring within that defined timeframe will count toward the outcome. Points/goals/events from other parts of the Event or match are excluded. If the specified tally is not reached within the given timeframe (if any), the bet will be voided unless the offer explicitly states otherwise.
6.16. Winner of Point X / Scorer of Goal X
Bets on Winner of Point X / Scorer of Goal X (and similar markets) refer to the team or participant that scores or wins the specific listed occurrence (e.g., a specific point, goal, or event). Only the listed occurrence is relevant for the settlement of these markets; prior events or scores are not considered. If the listed occurrence does not take place within the stipulated timeframe (if any), the bet will be voided unless explicitly stated otherwise in the offer.
6.17. First Card / Next Team to Receive Penalty Minutes
Bets referring to the occurrence of a specific event in a pre-defined chronological order, such as First Card, Next Team to Receive Penalty Minutes, and similar markets, will be voided if the winning outcome cannot be determined beyond reasonable doubt.
For example, if players from both teams receive a card during the same stoppage in play and it is unclear which card was issued first, all bets on that market will be voided.
6.18. Team to Score First and Win
This market refers to the listed team both scoring the first goal in the match and subsequently winning the match. If no goals are scored during the match, all bets placed on this market will be void.
6.19. Any reference to a "Clean Sheet" indicates that the listed team must not concede any goals at any point during the match.
6.20. Team to Win from Behind
This market refers to the listed team winning the match after having trailed by at least one goal at any point during the match.
6.21. Team to Win All Halves/Periods
Where a team is required to win all halves or periods (e.g., "Team to win both halves"), the listed team must score more goals than its opponent in each of the specified halves or periods.
6.22. Any reference to "Injury Time" refers to the duration indicated by the designated match official, not the actual time played.
6.23. Man of the Match / Most Valuable Player
Bets on markets such as "Man of the Match" or "Most Valuable Player" will be settled based on the official decision of the Event's organizer, unless expressly stated otherwise in the offer.
7. Event Outcomes and Bet Settlement
7.1. The dates and times of Events displayed are for informational purposes only. Accuracy is not guaranteed, and incorrect times or dates will not result in voiding bets unless explicitly stated otherwise in these rules.
7.2. Live scores may be displayed for informational purposes only. The accuracy of such information is not guaranteed and cannot be used to determine the outcome of a bet.
7.3. Bets on an Event (including all related Markets) will be settled after the Event concludes and an official result is announced.
7.4. The result of an Event is determined on the day it concludes, unless an official result is issued later. The final result will be that declared by the governing body of the Event unless otherwise specified. For Events not part of official competitions, the result provided by the organizer will be used.
7.5. If an Event begins but does not conclude within 48 hours of its scheduled start time, all bets will be void, except for:
- Bets on outcomes of completed periods;
- Events that normally exceed 30 hours (e.g. golf tournaments);
- Exceptions provided in the sport-specific rules;
- Bets on "First Team to Score" which remain valid once a goal is scored.
7.6. If an Event is suspended after starting, settlement will follow the sport-specific rules. If no such rules apply, clause 7.5 will govern.
7.7. For settlement purposes, any protests or changes to the result after the Event concludes will not be considered.
7.8. Bets are based on the final outcome of an Event/Market, regardless of the score at the time the bet was placed. Incorrect live scores, other than soccer goals and red cards, will not void bets.
7.9. Bets on a specific period only consider the points/goals/events within that period and ignore any other periods.
7.10. If a "Draw" option is offered alongside Winner markets and a draw occurs, bets on either team to win will lose. If no "Draw" option is available and the Event ends in a draw, all Winner bets will be void unless stated otherwise in sport-specific rules.
7.11. If an Event ends in a forfeit, walkover, or similar scenario where it is considered complete without being played, all bets will be void regardless of the official scoring.
7.12. Obvious misspellings, team name changes, and incorrect league listings will not void bets if the intended Event can be reasonably identified.
7.13. If an Event is played with an incorrect number of segments (e.g. periods or sets), or with a non-standard duration not previously indicated, all bets will be void.
7.14. For "Aggregate Home/Away score" markets covering a specific day or week, all events in the market must be completed. If not, all related bets will be void.
7.15. For "Multi-way betting" markets, all bets are valid unless a condition is stated that a named competitor must start. If that competitor does not start, all related bets are void.
7.16. Winning bets on "Multi-way" markets are paid at full odds, regardless of how many winners there are.
7.17. If a market includes "The Field" as an option, any named competitor must beat all others to win. If a named competitor ties for the win, bets on that competitor are void; all others lose.
7.18. Settled markets are considered final after 72 hours. Corrections will only be made within that timeframe and only for human or system errors, or mistakes in official results.
7.19. Outright bets are all-in and will be settled as a loss if the selected participant does not take part in the Event, unless stated otherwise. Dead heat rules apply in the event of a tie.
7.20. If one of the participants in a head-to-head market does not start, that market will be void.
7.21. In racing sports, if both competitors fail to finish, the winner will be the one who completed more laps. If both drop out on the same lap, the bet will be void.
7.22. If both competitors finish with the same result, bets in the head-to-head market will be void.
7.23. Unless otherwise specified, all match bets exclude overtime.
7.24. If a market includes the names of both competitors, they must both participate for bets to stand.
8. Bet Acceptance, Suspension, and Voiding
8.1. All bets are subject to acceptance and may be declined at our sole discretion.
8.2. Acceptance of live (in-play) bets may be subject to a brief delay or may be temporarily suspended during critical moments (e.g., free-kick, 1:1 attack, etc.) at our sole discretion.
8.3. WhalePlay reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any bet at any time, without providing prior notice or justification.
8.4. WhalePlay reserves the right to declare a bet (or part of it) void (payments are made with the odds 1) or to suspend settlement until the end of trial (including judicial) in any of the following cases:
- An error occ: at the time of bet placement or acceptance;
- There was a : ical or system error, including incorrect odds, event listings, or market availability;
- There are in: ions of fraudulent, coordinated, or unfair betting behavior, including exploitation of manifestly incorrect odds;
- The bet was : ted in breach of these rules;
- A significan: ernal change occurred affecting the integrity of the market (e.g., venue change, team disqualification);
- The bet was : d after the event or related outcome had already started or occurred;
- The odds or : ts were not updated properly due to technical failure;
- The outcome : een affected by sanctions or penalties unrelated to the actual sporting results (e.g., point deductions, disciplinary rulings).
8.5. WhalePlay reserves the right to suspend settlement or declare any affected Bet or Market void where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the integrity of an Event or Market has been compromised, including as a result of suspected match-fixing, event manipulation, irregular or suspicious betting activity, fraud, corruption, misuse of inside information, or any other circumstance that may materially affect the fairness or integrity of the Event or Market.
Where WhalePlay relies on an integrity-related determination made by its sportsbook provider, such determination may be based on notices, reports, data, findings, or other information made available by the sportsbook provider in relation to the relevant Event or Market. WhalePlay may request and consider additional supporting information from the sportsbook provider where WhalePlay considers it reasonably necessary to assess the circumstances and determine the appropriate settlement of affected Bets.
Where an Event or Market is cancelled or declared void on such grounds, WhalePlay may void the affected Bets and return the applicable Stakes, unless the outcome of a particular Market had already been unconditionally determined and the applicable betting rules provide otherwise.
Where an integrity-related determination applies to a Market as a whole, WhalePlay will apply the resulting settlement treatment consistently to all affected Bets placed on that Market. This does not prevent WhalePlay from taking separate action in respect of an individual Bet or User where there are independent grounds under these Sports Betting Terms and Conditions, including suspected fraud, collusion, prohibited betting activity, technical error, or other breach of these Rules.
Any such decision will be made on reasonable grounds and in good faith, taking into account the information available to WhalePlay and/or its sportsbook provider at the relevant time.
Notwithstanding clause 7.18, where WhalePlay receives an integrity-related notice or determination from its sportsbook provider after the standard 72-hour settlement finality period has expired, WhalePlay may review and, where reasonably justified, correct or void the affected Bets, provided that such notice or determination is received by WhalePlay within thirty (30) days following settlement of the affected Bet or Market .
Any correction or voiding under this paragraph must be made within seven (7) days from the date on which WhalePlay receives the relevant notice or determination from its sportsbook provider.
8.6. If a bet is placed at clearly incorrect odds or above market limits due to a technical or human error, such bets may be declared void. If a bet is placed after an event has started (outside of designated in-play markets) and the user has gained a material advantage, the bet may be voided at WhalePlay's discretion.
8.7. In cases of suspected unfair activity, WhalePlay reserves the right to void any bet (in this case, the payout is made with odds of 1) and may withhold withdrawals for up to 31 calendar days while an investigation is conducted.
8.8. Where an account reflects a negative balance, WhalePlay reserves the right to void any pending bets, regardless of whether they were funded by the incorrect balance.
8.9. WhalePlay may suspend bet acceptance from any individual User account at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
8.9. WhalePlay is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from system errors, delays, data transmission issues, or technical malfunctions.
8.11. Abuse of system bugs or translation mistakes is strictly prohibited. Any error discovered by the User must be reported immediately. Failure to do so may result in suspension of the account, freezing of funds, and cancellation of pending or settled bets.
8.12. In Combo (accumulator, parlay, multi) bets, where individual selections are closely related (e.g. betting on a team to win a league and also to win a decisive game), such bets may be declared void.
9. Betting integrity
9.1. WhalePlay may, at its sole discretion, limit the maximum amount of a bet or stake on any event, market, or User. These limits may change without prior notice but will not affect bets that have already been accepted.
9.2. Bets must be placed individually by the User. Group betting or syndicate activity is not permitted. Repeated bets on the same outcome, whether from the same or different accounts, may be declared void at our discretion.
9.3. Bets may be voided, even after the event result is known, if there is a reason to believe that User(s) acted in collusion or as part of a coordinated betting strategy such as identical bets placed within a short timeframe.
9.4. Bets placed from multiple accounts using the same IP address may be refused or voided at our discretion.
9.5. We may suspend betting on any event or market where there is suspected manipulation, unfair advantage, or a system fault. Settlement may be delayed or declined until the issue is resolved. All decisions will be made fairly and in good faith.
9.6. Placing bets on fixed matches is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to wager on events or markets that have been predetermined or manipulated in any way is a serious breach of these rules and undermines the integrity of sports betting. Users found to be involved in such activity will face immediate restrictions, cancellation of bets, and may be permanently banned from using the Sportsbook.
WhalePlay is committed to maintaining fair play and the trust of its Users, and has zero tolerance for any action that compromises these principles. By placing bets, Users agree not to participate in any form of betting related to fixed matches. Suspected violations will be thoroughly investigated, and our decision will be final and made in accordance with its policies.

II. Special Sports Related Rules
1. Soccer
1.1. Bets on the outcome of a match are settled based on the full (90) minutes of regular play (two halves), plus any injury or stoppage time added by the referee. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included unless clearly stated.
1.2. Corners that are awarded but not actually taken are not considered.
1.3. Own goals do not count for bets on "Anytime Goalscorer", "Next Goalscorer", "Player to Score X Goals", or any similar player goal markets.
1.4. All players who have been on the field since kickoff (or since the last goal in "Next Goalscorer" bets) are considered active participants.
1.5. Player Props Market
If a player is not part of the starting lineup, all bets on that player's markets will be voided. This rule does not apply to 1.6. Anytime Goalscorer, 1.7. First Goalscorer, 1.8. Last Goalscorer / Player to Score X+ or Team First Goalscorer markets.
1.6. Anytime Goalscorer
Bets remain valid if the player enters the match as a substitute. Bets will be voided if the player was not included in the matchday squad or if they were on the bench but did not play.
1.7. First Goalscorer
Bets remain valid if the player enters the match as a substitute before the first goal is scored. Bets will be voided if the player was not included in the matchday squad or if they were on the bench but did not play.
1.8. Last Goalscorer
Bets remain valid if the player enters the match as a substitute. Bets will be voided if the player was not included in the matchday squad, if they were on the bench but did not play, or if they were substituted before the last goal was scored.
Players not included in the matchday squad refers to players who were not listed in the official team sheet for the match and are treated as not playing.
1.9. If a player who was not included in the matchday squad scores a goal, all bets on listed players remain valid.
1.10. "Anytime Goalscorer," "Player to Score X Goals," and "Next Goalscorer" markets are settled based on official TV broadcast data and statistics from the Press Association, unless there is clear evidence that these statistics are incorrect.
1.11. Time-based markets (such as goals in specific time intervals) are settled according to the goal time shown on TV broadcasts. If broadcast timing is not available, the official match clock time is used.
1.12. For time interval goal markets, settlement is based on when the ball crosses the goal line, not when the shot or header was made.
1.13. For corner interval markets, settlement is based on when the corner is awarded, not when it is taken. Corners that are awarded but not taken do not count. If a corner must be retaken, it only counts as 1 corner.
1.14. For booking interval markets, settlement is based on when the card is shown, not when the foul or infringement occurred.
1.15. Offside markets are settled based on when the decision is given. This applies to all situations, including those involving VAR (Video Assistant Referee).
1.16. Penalty markets are settled based on when the penalty decision is given. This applies to all situations, including those involving VAR.
1.17. Penalties that are awarded but not taken do not count.
1.18. Next Scoring Type markets
1.18.1. Free Kick
The goal must be scored directly from the free kick or corner. Deflected shots count as long as the free kick or corner taker is credited with the goal.
1.18.2. Penalty
The goal must be scored directly from the penalty kick. Goals scored from rebounds after a missed penalty do not count.
1.18.3. Own Goal
Any goal that is officially recorded as an own goal.
1.18.4. Header
The scorer's final touch before the ball enters the goal must be with their head.
1.18.5. Shot
The goal must be scored with any part of the body other than the head, and none of the other scoring types apply.
1.18.6. No Goal
Selected when no goal is scored.
1.19. If betting markets were offered with missing or incorrect red card information, we reserve the right to void affected bets.
1.20. If odds were offered with incorrect match time (more than 5 minutes difference), we reserve the right to void the affected bets.
1.21. If an incorrect score is displayed on our platform, all markets will be voided for the period when the wrong score was shown.
1.22. If team names or tournament information are displayed incorrectly, we reserve the right to void the affected bets.
1.23. For card counting purposes: Yellow card = 1 card, Red card or Second Yellow (Red) card = 2 cards. The second yellow card that leads to a red card is not counted separately. Therefore, one player can contribute a maximum of 3 cards.
1.24. Card markets are settled based on all cards shown during the regular 90 minutes of play, plus injury time.
1.25. Cards shown after the final whistle are not counted.
1.26. Cards shown to non-players (substituted players, managers, bench players, coaches) do not count.
1.27. For booking points markets: Yellow card = 10 points, Red card or Second Yellow (Red) card = 25 points. The second yellow card that leads to a red card is not counted separately. Therefore, one player can contribute a maximum of 35 booking points.
1.28. Penalty Shootout - Total market
Predict the total number of penalties successfully scored during the penalty shootout.
1.29. If the match format is changed from the expected format, we reserve the right to void all bets.
1.30. If a friendly match is ended by the referee before 80 minutes of play, all bets will be voided.
1.31. Team Stats Markets
Team Stats markets (such as Shots, Shots on Target, Offsides, Throw-ins, Fouls, Saves, Goal Kicks, and other team performance metrics) are settled using the following data sources in order of priority:
- Official source (official league/competition website)
- WhoScored (https://www.whoscored.com/)
- 365 Scores (https://www.365scores.com/)
- Sofascore (https://www.sofascore.com/)
WhalePlay uses the highest-priority source available for each statistic. If data is available from a higher-priority source, lSower-ranked sources are not considered. Bets are settled based on the initial publication of results, any subsequent changes or corrections to the statistics will not result in bet re-settlement.
1.32. All soccer player prop bets are settled using official data provided by OPTA.
1.33. When the ball hits the post or crossbar (woodwork) and stays in play (whether touched by a player, referee, or hitting another post/crossbar), this counts as one hit. If the ball bounces from one post or crossbar to another without being touched by a player or referee after the first hit, it still only counts as one hit.
1.34. An offside is counted when the referee calls it and awards a free kick.
1.35. A VAR review is only confirmed when you see one of these official signs during the TV broadcast:
- The referee draws a box shape in the air with their hands
- The referee goes to check the pitch-side video review screen
Note: A "Goal Check" message on the scoreboard or the referee touching their ear are NOT official VAR reviews. Regular conversations between referees also don't count as VAR reviews.
For more information about VAR, visit: https://www.fifa.com/technical/football-technology
1.36. A medical team entrance is only counted when the referee gives permission and the medical staff actually assists a player on the field. If medical teams from both teams enter the field at the same time (with the referee's permission), this counts as just one medical team entrance.
1.37. Expected Goals (xG) is a statistical measure that shows the quality of scoring chances in a match. It tells you how likely each shot was to become a goal based on factors like distance, angle, and type of chance.
xG bets are settled using precise values down to two decimal places (like 1.25 or 2.67). We use FotMob ( https://www.fotmob.com/ ) as our official source for xG settlements.
1.38. Soccer Player Props - Key Terms
1.38.1. Goals and Own Goals
Goals are awarded based on official decisions from the relevant football authorities. OPTA works with these organizations to ensure accurate goal attribution. Here's how deflected shots are typically handled:
- Goal awarded to shooter - when the original shot was on target and gets deflected in
- Own goal awarded - when the original shot was off target but gets deflected into the goal by an opponent
The final decision always follows the official ruling from the match authorities.
1.38.2. Shots
A shot is counted as any clear attempt to score that:
- Goes into the net (regardless of intent)
- Would have gone into the net but was saved by the goalkeeper or stopped by the last defender (when the goalkeeper had no chance to prevent the goal)
- Goes over or wide of the goal without touching another player
- Would have gone over or wide but was stopped by a goalkeeper's save or by an outfield player
- Hits the goalpost or crossbar directly (even if no goal is scored)
Blocked shots are not counted as shots.
1.38.3. Shots on Goal
A shot on goal is any goal attempt that:
- Goes into the net (regardless of intent)
- Would have gone into the net but was saved by the goalkeeper or stopped by the last defender (when the goalkeeper had no chance to prevent the goal)
Shots that hit the goalpost or crossbar are not counted as shots on target, unless the ball goes in and is awarded as a goal. Shots blocked by another player (who is not the last defender) are not counted as shots on target.
1.38.4. Goal Assist
An assist is awarded for the final touch (pass, cross, or any other touch) that leads directly to a teammate scoring a goal. If the final touch is deflected by an opponent, the assist is only awarded if the scoring player would likely have received the ball even without the deflection.
No assists are awarded for:
- Own goals
- Direct free kick goals
- Direct corner kick goals
- Penalty goals
1.38.5. Tackles
A tackle occurs when a player makes a ground challenge and successfully takes the ball away from an opponent who clearly had possession.
Types of tackles:
- A tackle won means the tackler or their teammate gains possession after the challenge, or the ball goes safely out of play.
- A tackle lost means the tackle is made but the ball goes to an opposition player.
Both count as successful tackles, the difference is just where the ball ends up afterward.
Intercepting or cutting out a pass is not considered a tackle.

If there's a technical decision before the end of the fight, all bets will be settled as a win by decision and round bets will be deemed losers.

22.6.3. Total Rounds
Bet on the round in which the fight result will be determined. For settlement purposes where a half round is stated, 2 minutes 30 seconds of the respective round will define the half to determine under or over.
For example: 2.5 rounds would be two minutes and thirty seconds of the 3rd round. If the fight ends at exactly 2 minutes 30 seconds of the 3rd round, the result would be over 2.5 rounds.

If there's a technical decision before the end of the fight, all bets will be settled as a win by decision and round bets will be deemed losers.

23.8.13. Winner of group
The winner of this market is the player with the lowest score of a certain group of players after the tournament is over. Only players that are part of the market belong to that group. If there are two or more players inside that group that are tied for the lowest tournament score out of that group, Dead heat settlement applies.
23.8.14. End of round x - leader
If there are two or more players tied for the lead after a round, Dead heat settlement applies. If a player does not hit a single shot in a tournament, they will be voided for all End of round - leader markets. If a player withdraws from the tournament, they will be voided for all End of round - leader markets, as long as they have not played a shot in the respective round.

IV. eSports Solution Betting Rules
1. General Rules
1.1 WhalePlay reserves the right to void any bet placed under obviously incorrect conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, bets placed with erroneous odds (arising from typographical mistakes, system errors, or manipulated matches), switched odds, or bets made after an event has already started or has been impacted by clear technical issues.
1.2 All bets will be settled once the outcome of the market has been officially determined.
1.3 Market "Match" 1X2
You can bet on the outcome of a match or event with three options:
- "1" = Home team (or the team listed on the left)
- "X" = Draw (the middle option)
- "2" = Away team (or the team listed on the right)
1.4 Market "Correct Score"
You can bet on the exact final score of a match or event (partial or definite).
1.5 Market "Over/Under" Totals
You can bet on whether the (partial or definite) total amount of specific events (like goals, points, kills, rounds won, etc.) will be over or under a set number. If the total exactly matches the betting line, all bets will be voided.
Example: If the betting line is 128.0 points and the match ends with the result 64-64, all bets are void.
1.6 Market "Odd/Even"
You can bet on whether the (partial or definite) total number of specific events (like goals, points, kills, rounds, etc.) will be an odd or even number.
- "Odd" = 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.
- "Even" = 0, 2, 4, 6, etc.
1.7 Market "Half Time/Full Time"
You can bet on both the half-time result and the final match outcome.
Example: If the score is 1-0 at half-time and the match ends 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/X.
Your bet will be void if the match is played in a different time format than what was offered (i.e., not played in two halves).
1.8 Market "Period Betting"
You can bet on the outcome of each separate period within a match or event.
1.9 Market "Draw No Bet"
You can bet on either "1" or "2" as defined in this section (see clause 1.3). This market removes the draw option. If the match ends in a draw or the specific outcome doesn't happen, your stake will be refunded.
1.10 Market "Handicap"
You can bet on whether your chosen team will win after we add or subtract the listed handicap to their final score. If the result after applying the handicap exactly equals the betting line, all bets will be voided.
1.11 Market "Asian Handicap"
Home team (-1.75) vs Away team (+1.75). This means that your stake is divided into 2 equal bets and placed on the outcomes -1.5 and -2.0. For your bet to be fully paid out at the listed odds, the home team must win the match with a bigger margin than both of their listed handicaps (i.e. 3 goals or more margin). If the home team wins with only a 2 goal margin, the bet will be considered as partially won with a full payout on the -1.5 part of the bet and a refund on the -2.0 side since the outcome on that part of the bet would be considered a "tie". Should the match produce any other outcome, including a home team victory with only 1 goal margin, the whole stake would be lost. Away teams are given a +1.75 goal advantage in the match. This means that the stake is divided into 2 equal bets and placed on the outcomes +1.5 and +2.0.
1.12 Market "Double Chance"
You can bet on two possible outcomes (partial or definite) at once from a match or event. The options are:
- 1X = Home team wins OR Draw
- 12 = Home team wins OR Away team wins
- X2 = Draw OR Away team wins
With "1", "X" and "2" as defined in this section (see clause 1.3)
1.13 Market "Team to Score First and Win"
You're betting that your chosen team will score the first goal and win the match. If no goals are scored in the match, all bets will be voided.
1.14 Bets on "Quarter/Half/Period X"
These bets only count what happens during that specific time period, not the cumulative score. Your bet will be voided if the match is played in a different format than what was offered.
1.15 Bets on "Result at End of Quarter/Half/Period X"
These bets count the cumulative score up to the end of that specific period, including everything that happened before it.
1.16 Bets on "Race to X Points/Goals"
You're betting on which team will be first to reach a specific number of points/goals/events. If there's a time limit specified, only events within that timeframe count. If the target score isn't reached within the specified time (if any), all bets will be voided unless stated otherwise.
1.17 Bets on "Winner of Point X/Scorer of Goal X"
You're betting on which team will win/score a specific numbered event (like the 5th kill or 3rd round). Only that specific event matters - what happened before doesn't count. If that specific event doesn't occur within the specified timeframe (if any), all bets will be voided unless stated otherwise.
1.18 Team to Win All Halves/Periods
Your chosen team must score more than their opponent in every single half/period of the match to win this bet.
2. Basketball Betting Rules
2.1 Basketball markets do not include overtime unless specifically stated otherwise.
2.2 If a match ends before reaching the specified point total, bets on this market and markets like "Who scores the Xth point?" or "Which team will win race to X points?" will be voided (cancelled).
3. Cricket Betting Rules
3.1 Delivery Markets Runs off
We settle these bets based on the total runs added to the team score from the specific delivery you bet on.
How we count deliveries:
- Each ball bowled counts as the next delivery, even if it's a wide or no-ball
Example: If an over starts with a wide, that counts as delivery 1, and the next ball becomes delivery 2
- Free hit runs don't count toward the original delivery that caused the free hit
- All runs count (whether hit by the bat, extras, or penalties)
Example: A wide delivery with 3 extra runs taken = 4 total runs for that delivery (1 for the wide + 3 runs taken).
3.2 Over Markets - Runs in Over
The specified over must be completed for bets to stand, unless the result is already determined. If an innings ends during an over, that over is considered complete unless ended by external factors (like bad weather), in which case bets are void. If the over doesn't start at all, all bets are void. Extras and penalty runs in that over count toward settlement.
3.3 Wicket in Over
Any wicket counts for settlement, including run-outs. A batsman retiring hurt does not count as a wicket. If a batsman is timed out or retired out, the wicket is considered to have happened on the previous ball. Retired hurt does not count as a dismissal.
3.4 Over Odd/Even
You're betting whether the runs scored in the specified over will be odd or even. Same rules as "Runs in Over" apply (see clause 3.2). Zero counts as an even number.
3.5 Innings Markets
In limited overs matches, bets are void if less than 80% of scheduled overs are completed due to external factors (like weather), unless the bet result was already determined. Bets on future innings remain valid regardless of current/previous innings scores. In drawn First Class matches, bets are void if fewer than 200 overs are bowled or less than 60 overs in an incomplete innings, unless already determined. If a team declares, that innings is considered complete.

3.3.3 Deductions are calculated as a percentage taken from your potential winnings, not your original stake.
3.3.4 If multiple runners are scratched from a race, we calculate the combined deduction rate by adding together each scratched runner's deduction rate from our Deductions Table (see clause 3.5).

3.4. Errors
3.4.1 If WhalePlay publishes, displays, or provides incorrect betting information for horse racing, greyhound racing, or harness racing events (including inaccurate odds), we reserve the right to void any bets affected by the error, regardless of its source.
3.5. Bets Acceptance After Race Start Time
3.5.1 Single Bets
If we accidentally accept your single bet after the official race start time, we will void the bet and refund your stake.
3.5.2 Combo Bets
If we accept a bet after the official start time as part of a combo bet, we will void that specific race and your remaining combo bet legs will stand.
3.6. Other Rules
3.6.1 If a horse or greyhound is withdrawn late by order of the stewards, we will pay all bets according to the stewards' decision about that runner's status, including any deductions on remaining runners. See our Deductions Table in clause 3.5.
3.6.2 All bets are settled based on the official result declared by the stewards on race day. Subsequent disqualifications or changes to placings will not affect settlement; the official race-day result will stand.
